Is Hypnosis Safe For Me

What if I’m not sure hypnotherapy is for me?
It’s completely normal to feel unsure — especially if you’ve never experienced hypnosis before. Many men I work with start out sceptical or simply curious. We begin with a short, no-pressure conversation so you can explain what’s been happening and ask any questions you may have. From there, you can decide whether it feels like the right approach for you. There is no obligation to proceed.
Will I be in control during hypnosis?
Yes. You remain aware and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation — not unconsciousness. You won’t say anything you don’t want to say, and you can end the session at any time. Most clients describe it as deeply relaxing but fully comfortable.
What if I struggle to talk about how I’m feeling?
That’s very common, particularly for men. You don’t need to explain everything perfectly or relive difficult experiences in detail. Hypnotherapy focuses less on analysing the past and more on helping your mind and body respond differently in the present. You can simply describe what you’re noticing — that’s enough to begin.
How quickly can I expect results?

Many clients notice a shift in how they feel after the first session — particularly in terms of relaxation and mental clarity.

The short two-session reset is designed to interrupt stress patterns and begin restoring a sense of control. Some choose further sessions for deeper work, but there is no requirement to continue beyond what feels useful.

What does a typical session involve?
Sessions are held online via Zoom and last around 60 minutes. We begin with a brief conversation about what’s been happening. You’ll then be guided into a deeply relaxed state, where focused suggestions help calm the nervous system and reduce unhelpful patterns. There is nothing dramatic or theatrical — just a structured, calm process.
Is online hypnotherapy effective?
Yes. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person work. In many cases, clients feel more relaxed in their own environment. All sessions are private and confidential.
How many sessions will I need?
For stress and anxiety support, I currently offer a focused two-session package. Some clients feel that is enough. Others choose to continue if they want to address additional areas such as confidence or specific fears. The decision is always yours.
Is online hypnotherapy private and confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is my top priority. Sessions are 100% confidential, and your bespoke hypnosis recordings are created exclusively for you — never shared with anyone else.

Hypnotherapy & Hypnosis

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to achieve specific, positive, and long-lasting outcomes. Its Purpose is to bring about lasting changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and to address conditions like anxiety, phobias, or habit cessation. It’s a goal-oriented process, often combining hypnosis with other therapeutic techniques, to help clients reach specific, agreed-upon objectives

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is the process of inducing a trance-like state in which a person is more receptive to suggestions. Its purpose is to facilitate communication between the conscious and subconscious mind. It’s a general psychological procedure that can influence thoughts, feelings, and actions, but not necessarily for a therapeutic goal.

What does hypnosis feel like?

The state of hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon and, whilst in the hypnotic state, you are in full control of yourself. It’s both pleasant and relaxing, and you will be able to converse easily with me if you wish.

There is absolutely no question of being controlled or manipulated, or even induced into a hypnotic state against your will. A person in hypnosis is not ‘asleep’. On the contrary, you can often be more aware of what is taking place than usual and your senses function far more efficiently than normal. People often comment that their hearing, sight, smell, and feelings are taken into a more heightened state.

Hypnosis is about making suggestions for positive changes that you want to happen and, therefore, these positive suggestions aren’t rejected

A good definition of hypnotherapy is: ‘A state of relaxation and concentration at one with a state of heightened awareness induced by suggestion.

What happens during an online session ?

Our minds work on two levels – the conscious and the Subconscious. We make decisions, think, and act with our subconscious mind. but unfortunately sometimes the subconscious mind stores negative thoughts that have become engrained over time. So first we deal with the conscious mind, through talking and discovery questions we create an in depth personal profile, based on your past history relating to your problem. We look at what may have caused it and what we can do to change it to a positive experience. Based on our observations and in the relaxed state known as hypnosis, I communicate directly with your unconscious mind, changing your damaging and inhibiting habits to positive and healthy new habits. This is why it is so quick and easy to change habits of a lifetime with hypnosis.

Generally speaking, every normal person is “hypnotisable”. That is, people with an IQ of at least 70, and no severe mental disorders. Therefore, virtually anyone can achieve successful results using hypnosis.
How will I know if I am hypnotised?

Most people cannot tell the difference between the hypnotised and the waking states. Some people feel relaxed and lethargic, others feel a lightness. One thing that people do notice is an inexplicable change in their daily behaviours.

Is online hypnotherapy private and confidential?
Absolutely. Your privacy is my top priority. Sessions are 100% confidential, and your bespoke hypnosis recordings are created exclusively for you — never shared with anyone else.

Using Zoom

Do I need Zoom installed to join a session?
No, you don’t need a Zoom account to join as a participant. When you receive your session link, you can simply click it and join without creating or signing into an account. That said, if you’d like to set up your own Zoom account, it does give you extra options — such as hosting your own meetings, inviting others, and personalising your settings. Zoom is free to download from their official website, and if you’d like to explore different ways of joining a meeting, their support pages provide simple step-by-step guides.
What equipment will I need for the zoom session

Joining your hypnotherapy session online is simple, and most people already have everything they need. Here’s a quick checklist:

  • A computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone

  • A built-in or external webcam so we can see each other

  • A microphone (most devices already have one built in)

  • A stable internet connection

  • Optional: headphones, for extra comfort and focus

That’s it — nothing complicated. If you can make a video call, you can join your session with ease.
